Dr.Mila Peneva
Dr. Mila Peneva is a specialist cardiologist in Sofia with over 5 years of medical experience. She is a graduate in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiological diseases, arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease, rhythm and conduction disorders, heart failure, ECG and echocardiography (EchoCG). Her professional interests are mainly in valvular defects, cardiomyopathies, pulmonary hypertension and congenital heart malformations in adult patients, which are clearly related to imaging diagnostics in cardiology. Dr. Peneva does not see children.
Education
Graduated from the Medical University of Plovdiv in 2019. She obtained her specialty in Cardiology and European Certificate for Acquired Specialty in Cardiology (EECC) in 2024.
Qualifications
Member of the Society of Cardiologists in Bulgaria (Valvular Diseases Working Group), European Society of Cardiology and its working groups for Congenital Heart Disease in Adults and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, Bulgarian Association of Cardiovascular Imaging and Bulgarian Medical Union;
Numerous participations in national and European congresses and seminars in the specialty.
Biography
From 2019 to 2020, Dr. Peneva practiced as a resident physician at the Cardiology Clinic at the University Hospital Lozenets. From 2020 to 2024, she was a resident physician at the Cardiology Department at the National Cardiology Hospital (NCH) in Sofia. She practiced at the Heidelberg Medical Center. She is currently part of the specialist teams of the National Children’s Hospital, Zdraveto Hospital and the Diagnostic center ‘Heart’. She speaks English and German.
