Cardiology

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of health problems worldwide and are increasingly affecting younger individuals. At “Heart Diagnostic Center,” we offer specialized cardiology care focused on prevention, early diagnosis, risk control, long-term monitoring, and improving cardiovascular health.

Our goal is not just treatment, but comprehensive support—from the first consultation to long-term and sustainable condition management. We work with attention to detail, and our priority is an individual approach to each patient.

What is cardiology?

Cardiology focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting the heart and blood vessels. This includes conditions such as high blood pressure, arrhythmias, ischemic heart disease, heart failure, other structural and functional heart disorders, as well as vascular health.

At “Heart Diagnostic Center,” we offer both preventive check-ups and monitoring of chronic conditions, ensuring peace of mind, clear communication, modern diagnostics, and effective treatment.

When should you see a cardiologist?

We recommend a consultation in the following cases:

  • Annual preventive check-up
  • Elevated blood pressure (hypertension)
  • Any form of chest discomfort
  • Heart palpitations, irregular, slow or rapid heartbeat
  • Shortness of breath (dyspnea)
  • Fatigue, weakness, reduced physical capacity
  • Dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting
  • Swelling of the ankles, feet, or legs (edema)
  • Family history of heart attack, stroke, sudden death, or other cardiovascular diseases
  • Follow-up after COVID-19, flu, or viral infections affecting the heart
  • Diabetes, obesity, or high cholesterol (metabolic syndrome)
  • Desire to assess cardiovascular risk before starting sports or undergoing surgery
What does the cardiologist diagnose and treat?

In our center, we provide diagnosis and monitoring of:

  • Arterial hypertension
  • Heart failure
  • Ischemic heart disease (angina, past heart attack, stents, bypass surgeries)
  • Rhythm and conduction disorders
  • Heart valve diseases
  • Inflammatory conditions (myocarditis, pericarditis, and endocarditis)
  • Increased risk of cardiovascular events
  • Cardiological evaluation and follow-up in other conditions (endocrine, renal, pulmonary, oncological, etc.)
  • Cardiological assessment and monitoring of pregnant women
What to expect during a cardiology consultation?

The consultation includes:

  • Medical history – Detailed discussion about symptoms, medical background, family history, and individual characteristics
  • Physical examination
  • ECG (electrocardiogram) – to assess rhythm, electrical activity of the heart, and more
  • Echocardiography (heart ultrasound) – comprehensive ultrasound assessment of heart structure and function, and major blood vessels
  • When necessary, additional tests may be ordered:
    • Holter monitoring (ECG or blood pressure for 24 hours)
    • Laboratory tests
    • Stress test (exercise test)
    • Imaging studies – X-ray, CT scan, MRI, scintigraphy, invasive diagnostics

At the end of the consultation, the patient receives clear conclusions, therapeutic recommendations, and a specific follow-up plan.
