Dr.Ivan Stamenov
Dr. Ivan Stamenov is a specialist neonatologist and pediatrician in Sofia with over 40 years of medical experience. He graduated in the monitoring of the physical and neuro-psychological development of the child’s organism, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of childhood diseases.
Education
Graduated from the Medical University in 1983. He acquired his specialty in Pediatrics after specialization at the University Hospital St. Anna in 1992.
Qualifications
Lecturer in several schools for parents;
1990 – Pediatrics Clinic at the Medical University of Sofia;
2012 – Abdominal ultrasound course in pediatrics;
2000 – Healthcare management course;
Member of the Bulgarian Medical Association;
Participation in numerous national congresses and seminars in the specialty.
Biography
Dr. Stamenov is assigned as a district pediatrician at the Central Polyclinic in the town of Dolna Banya. He practiced in the Children’s Department at the Blagoevgrad Hospital and the Vascular Center in the town of Bankya. In 1994, he began working as a neonatologist at the St. Sophia Hospital. In 1995, he was appointed as a resident at the Children’s Clinic at the III-ROB Sofia. From 2000 to 2012, he worked as a family doctor at the Health 999 General Hospital at the 6th District Hospital. In early 2013, he began working as a pediatrician in the Neonatology Department at the Second Sofia Hospital. Since 2013, he has been practicing at the Dr. Shterev Medical Complex, and is currently part of the Diagnostic Center ‘Heart’ team.
