Dr. Mihaela Dimitrova-Mladenova, MD
Dr. Mihaela Dimitrova-Mladenova, PhD, is a pediatrician and pediatric endocrinologist with experience and professional interests in the diagnosis and treatment of growth delay, pubertal disorders, thyroid and adrenal gland diseases, calcium-phosphorus metabolism disorders, and obesity.
Education
She graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 2011. She obtained her specialties in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology in 2018 and 2021, respectively, following specialization at SBALDB Prof. Ivan Mitev. In 2017, she earned a PhD degree after defending her dissertation on the topic: “Diagnosis and treatment of patients with central precocious puberty.”
Qualifications
- Participation in numerous Bulgarian and international forums in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology
- 2015 – Participation in the Winter School of Pediatric Endocrinology organized by the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology
- 2019 – Participation in the postgraduate course: Growth Hormone and Growth Factors – Metabolic Disorders, Marstrand
- Member of the Bulgarian Pediatric Association, Bulgarian National Association of Pediatric Endocrinology, and the Bulgarian Society of Endocrinology
Biography
Dr. Dimitrova is a senior assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical University of Sofia and a pediatric endocrinologist at the Clinic of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at SBALDB Prof. Ivan Mitev. She is currently also part of the specialist teams at MC Malchovtsite, and Diagnostic Center “Heart.” She is fluent in English.
