Dr. Daniel Georgiev
Dr. Daniel Georgiev is a specialist obstetrician-gynecologist in Sofia with 28 years of medical experience. His professional interests include the study of papillomavirus infections. His clinical work is related to pregnancy monitoring within the framework of antenatal consultations, as well as performing specialized tests in the field of prenatal diagnostics: biochemical screening, fetal echocardiography, fetal morphology, Doppler examination. Dr. Georgiev does not examine children.
Education
He graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 1995. He has acquired a specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology after specialization at SBALAG Maternity Home Sofia.
Qualifications
Member of the Bulgarian Medical Union;
He has completed additional qualifications in the specialty at Busicot Hospital and Rothschild Hospital, Paris, France;
3 published articles and participation in a book on HPV together with Prof. Zlatko Kalvachev and Dr. Daniela Dimova;
Performed the first PCR-diagnosis of HPV together with colleagues from the Department of Genetics of the Medical University of Sofia and published an article on the topic in a prestigious Italian scientific publication on obstetrics and gynecology;
Participation in national and international congresses and seminars in the specialty.
Biography
Dr. Georgiev worked after graduation in the Department of Emergency Operative Gynecology at the Pirogov University Hospital. Since 2014, he has been part of the team of specialists at the Nadezhda Sofia Hospital, and currently at the Heart Diagnostic Center.
