Assoc. Prof. Sirma Mileva, MD is a pediatrician and pediatric pulmonologist in Sofia with over 26 years of medical experience. Her professional interests include acute and chronic respiratory diseases in childhood, with a focus on childhood asthma and recurrent broncho-obstructive manifestations in preschool age. Her scientific interests are in the field of pediatric pulmonology – imaging and functional diagnostics of respiratory pathology.
Education
She graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 1999. In 2008, she obtained a specialty in Pediatric Diseases and defended a dissertation on the topic: Clinical and laboratory indicators determining probable risk for asthma in early childhood. In 2014, she obtained a specialty in Pediatric Pulmonology.

Biography
From the very beginning of her career, Assoc. Prof. Mileva has worked at the Pediatrics Clinic of the University Hospital Aleksandrovska, where she successively held the following positions: doctoral student, resident, specialist in pediatric pneumology and phthisiology, assistant and associate professor at the Department of Pediatrics of the Medical University of Sofia. Since 2004, she has been the head of the Nursing Department. She is currently part of the team of specialists at the Diagnostic center “Heart”
